Web-Enabled Interviews: Giving Voice To Disparities in Infant Health in BIPOC Communities

 

Join Sharon Arthur of Zebra Strategies and Stan Satty of Civicom Marketing Research Services to learn how they worked together to help Zebra demonstrate how cultural beliefs, socio-economic factors, implicit bias and structural racism factor into Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome (“SUID”).

 

Health Disparities exist in communities of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (“BIPOC”). Dynamics such as income inequality, discrimination, violence and systemic racism contribute to making these populations more vulnerable to conditions such as SUID.                         

 

Together, Sharon and Stan will share their experiences using the Civicom CyberFacility® web-enabled interview platform to conduct the Infant Health Study, and how these interviews gave voice to the issues faced by the study participants.

 

Attendees will be able to learn about the challenges they faced and how working together on this study contributed to Zebra Strategies gaining insights into the dynamics of infant health in BIPOC communities.
